Johnston Family Miscellaney [manuscript], undated.

The collection contains two photographs of James Johnston, an original by Tyson and Perry, Charlottesville, and a copy by Holsinger, Charlottesville. The collection also contains notes on Rice Garland who went with his family to Cincinnati in 1820 and returned to claim an inheritance, notes on "Uncle Jeemes" who loaned gold to someone in West Virginia and "lawyers got it all after the Civil War,"and two plans of the Johnston Family burial ground.
